Director: Kristin Rogers
Scenic Designer: Leslie Turner
For In the Next Room, the focus was to keep the show as historically accurate as possible. I worked with the director (Kristin Rogers) and scenic designer (Leslie Turner) when choosing props, paying attention to the desire to create a distinction between the two rooms.
Process Pictures
Because we were unable to borrow a period appropriate vibrator I was challenged with creating one. The vibrator made was modeled after pictures of historically accurate vibrators from the 1880s and pictures from past productions, using a painted glass doorknob, scrap wood from the shop, and a wooden box that housed a speaker to create the illusion the virator was real.
